On Sunday 22nd December, Shelter NI held a very special Christmas fundraiser at the Bakery, 52 Howard St, Belfast. The Bakery's owner John kindly donated the entire day's takings to us! Thanks to his amazing generosity we raised £798!
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and orange, scones, mince pies, traybakes, minestrone soup were all up for grabs for free in exchange for a donation to Shelter NI.
We also held a raffle with prizes from new restaurant Howard St, Belfast who kindly donated a meal for two, tickets to the Lyric Belfast for Cinderella as well as tickets to the Abbey Theatre in Dublin for a performance of the winner's choice. We kindly thank our sponsors as well for their generosity!
John, Alex and Dione kindly donated their Sunday off to serve the customers.
Also a big thanks to our volunteers Cecily, Rebecca, Lorraine and Una who braved the elements to help collecting money as well as attracting customers by singing Christmas carols!
Thanks to all the customers and passersby that donated money to Shelter NI without you it would not have been such a great success!
