The organisers are delighted to announce that they will be staging the first ever Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon in Belfast on Sunday 22nd September 2013, starting at 9am from Belfast City Hall and finishing at the newly refurbished Mary Peters Track.
There will also be a Fun Run event for all ages starting and finishing at the Mary Peters Track. The Fun Run will be capped at 200 participants, so places will be given on a first come, first serve basis. The route will be 1k (2.5 laps of the Mary Peters Track).
General Instructions (Please Read Carefully)
Entrants for the Half Marathon must be 17 years of age or over on the day of the event.
The Half Marathon is a running event. Although we don't encourage participants to walk the entire route, we understand that some participants may need to walk parts of the route, which is permitted. The course will close at 1pm (4 hours after the starting time), so all participants complete this event within this time.
Fun Run entrants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The closing deadline for entries is Sunday 8th September 2013. No entries will be accepted after this date.
There are only 200 places for the Fun Run Event. No entries will be accepted once this number is reached.
It is recommended that potential participants for the Half Marathon Event not currently involved in physical sporting activity should seek medical advice on their suitability to participate.
