On 26th November we are holding our annual lecture to celebrate the contribution of Barney Filor to housing. This event is occurring during the Homeless Awareness Week. Places are limited, we advise you to book in order to avoid disappointment.
The event will be held at Clifton House Heritage Centre, at 2 North Queen Street, Belfast, BT151EQ.
Our guest speaker is Donal McManus, Executive Director of Irish Council for Social Housing. Donal graduated in Housing Management from University of Ulster and also in Urban Design from Strathclyde University School of Architecture. He worked initially in public housing and housing associations in Scotland and Northern Ireland before taking up his current position with ICSH. Donal is well respected in housing across Europe and has been President of the European Housing Forum; President of FEANTSA during which time he was a member of the UN-ECE Task Force on Social Housing. More recently Donal became President of the voluntary housing section of CECODHAS.
The talk will address current housing issues in Northern Ireland.
Free parking is available onsite within the Clifton House Heritage Centre.
Registration and light refreshments will be provided upon arrival at 6:00pm.
