Shelter NI is looking for you to be part of the The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon that will be held on the Monday 4th May 2015. You can run, race, walk or compete in the rely as part of a team, please see below the different categories.
Every day 50 people in Northern Ireland presents themselves as a homeless. Shelter NI campaigns to combat homelessness and provides services to prevent homelessness and you can help us to raise vital funds to continue with our work.

Marathon Run – Route Map
The race starts at the Belfast City Hall at 9am and finishes at Ormeau Park.
It follows the same route as the Wheelchair Race and the Team Relay Event.
The 2015 route will remain the same as the 2014 event route.
8 Mile Walk – Route Map
The Marathon Walk is 8 miles long and begins at Belfast City Hall at 9.00am.
It is non-competitive and is designed for ramblers and hikers.
It follows the same route as the main Marathon Race, the Wheelchair Race and the
Team Relay Event. All walkers must complete the course in less than 6 hours.
Team Relay – Route Map
The Team Relay Event follows the same route as the main Marathon Race and the Wheelchair Race.
It begins at Belfast City Hall at 9am.
The event is open to teams of two to five people and teams can be all-male, all-female or mixed (combination of males and females).
All teams must complete the course in less than 6 hours.
Wheelchair Race –Route Map
The Wheelchair Race begins at Belfast City Hall, shortly before the main Marathon event, at around 9am.
It follows the same route as the main Marathon Race and the Team Relay Event.
All wheelchair participants must complete the event in less than 6 hours.
Fun Run - Route Map
The 2015 Marathon Fun Run will commence at 9.20am from the City Hall.
It follows a different route from the main Marathon Race, the Wheelchair Race and the Team Relay. Please see Route Information.
The Fun Run is approximately 3 miles long.
