Stella Le Poidevin, Area Manager accepting a cheque and beautiful framed watercolour of local landmark, "The Tinnies" from architect Manus Deery.

The Heritage Exhibition, Marks of Time Strabane was a watercolour exhibition created by architect Manus Deery which charted the history of the Strabane area through 50 surviving buildings. Held at the Alley Theatre in January and Februray, the paintings were subsequently sold off with all profits going to GABLE.

Manus Deery said: 'I was surprised that there was so much interest in the exhibition during its run at the Alley and that so many of the paintings were subsequently purchased. I would like to thank everyone at the Alley and in Strabane that helped me make it such a success and I am delighted to be able to give GABLE a cheque for £1054.00 to help in its work with  older and disabled homeowners and private tenants in the Strabane area.'

Manus will be giving a lunchtime talk on the buildings of Strabane in the Ulster Museum on November 23rd.  To find out more go to .

Shelter Northern Ireland would like to express their sincere gratitude to Manus for this substantial donation. All donations received by Shelter NI are used to help us continue to deliver services in the local community.
