Shelter NI

Can you spare 1 hour per month? Be it your time, or from your salary?

We at ShelterNI are launching our "Donate an Hour" campaign and will run this for the next few months. These funds will be used to help tackle homelessness in Northern Ireland, both the visible and the invisible.

Did you know, according to Dataviz, in the period of July - December 2023 there were 8,183 households who presented as homeless. The number of persons this represents is even higher, and this information includes children.

Most people consider homelessness to be people rough sleeping. But there are many more people (including parents with young children), who are part of the hidden homeless. They do not have a place to call home. They stay with friends or family (sofa-surfing), sleep in their vehicles, live in hostels or B&Bs etc.

More information about homeless statistics in NI can be found here: https://datavis.nisra.gov.uk/.../northern-ireland...

We need your help to help them. Everyone deserves a warm, safe place of their own to call home.

We are asking you to consider donating just one of those precious hours to us per month. If you would like to do this via your salary, it would be split into 4 period of 15mins across the month.

If you would like to donate your hour, please see our donations page https://shelterni.org/give-support/how-to-donate
